It's more like a additional book,where you get to see parts of Kellan's old life as a child and how he gets to know Kiera.

My Opinion:
It's kinda difficult for me to tell you my opinion about thr book, because as you know, I haven't read the main story yet. In my opinion , the beginning and the middle was sometimes a little bit boring. Kiera and Kellan kiss etc. and then one of them gets angry and they don't talk anymore. It gets more interesting, when Kiera's sister Anna visits them. The end of the book was pretty good and I couldn't stop reading. The events come thick and fast and you just want to know how it turns out.
The only thing that annoyed me a little bit is, that WHEREVER Kellan goes, EVERY woman wants to date him, which seems a bit implausible to me.
So long story short, the book is definitely good but some scenes are just unnecessary and some parts where dragged out ,that's why you sometimes got bored easily.
